A MAJOR push is underway by the Costa Blanca Tourist Board to attract more tourism from Northern Europe during the off season.

In Holland last week, Alicante's Provincial Deputy for Tourism, JoaquÃn Albaladejo held meetings with operators including TUI and Thomas Cook at the Tourism Fair in Vakantiebeurs, Utrecht where he received the backing of the Spanish Ambassador in the Netherlands Acha Javier Vallaure.
From Vakantiebeurs, JoaquÃn Albaladejo said that the Costa Blanca was committed to strengthening the senior market segment in the Netherlands to boost the seasonally adjusted number of tourists visiting the province. He continued "Our expectations are very positive for 2013.
